Edoardo Costa (born August 7, 1967) is an Italian actor, entrepreneur and philanthropist. His career began in the fashion industry as a model in the early 1990s. Costa worked as a top model for some of the biggest agencies in the world, landing covers, editorials, catalogues, and tv commercials internationally. Costa then began studying acting at the best schools in New York City and Los Angeles.

Costa made a variety of independent American films leading to his debut in a first major feature as the terrorist Emerson, in the fourth installment of the Die Hard series, Live Free or Die Hard, with Bruce Willis.

His first major role in an American film was in the drama Down The Shore, directed by Harold Guskin, starring James Gandolfini and Famke Janssen. Costa also starred in the award-winning drama Black Tulip, which was shot in Kabul. Most recently, Costa appeared in Non-stop with Liam Neeson, Julianne Moore and Michelle Dockery. Costa was born in Varese, northern Italy and speaks fluent English, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish and French.

It was during Costa’s time in the military service in the mid 1980s that he was discovered in a local Milanese restaurant bar by a modeling scout. Costa has lived and worked all over the world, spending time in Paris, London, Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paolo, Sydney, Moscow, Los Angeles and Tokyo. He was the face and image of some of the biggest designers in the world including Calvin Klein, Giorgio Armani, Versace, Christian Dior and many others.

It was in 1999 that he began his acting career with a part in a popular Italian television series, going on to appear in further television programs and several Italian films. In 2007 Costa took control of Beatrice International Models, an agency with forty years experience, collaborating with the biggest agencies and representing some of the biggest names in the world. In 2007, Costa also opened The Actor’s Academy Milano.

The Actor’s Academy Milano hosted acclaimed actors such as Academy Award winner Martin Landau and Oscar nominated actor Mickey Rourke. Costa began charitable work in the mid 1990s while still a model. Through a friendship with Quincy Jones, Costa has used his celebrity to support projects in Afghanistan, Brazil and Africa. Today Edoardo Costa is based in Los Angeles and New York City, where he continues his career as an international actor.
